Ever have a relative tell you that they had things tougher than you did when they were your age? This week’s article is interesting as it explains why some generations in fact had an easier time than others in accumulating personal wealth as of a certain age. However, “when the Great Recession hit in 2007, it affected the entire economy, and its pain was felt across the generations. But in the years since, recovery of personal wealth has been uneven”. Call us so that we can discuss the role that Fixed Annuities may play in helping you to even out your path to a secure retirement. We’re here to help.

Would you like to know exactly what you will be paid on an annual basis for the rest of your life without depleting your principal? This week’s article discusses experts reducing the rule of thumb of how much of the value of their portfolio a retiree can usually withdraw each year without prematurely depleting the principal. We learn how, in light of stock market volatility, all time low interests rates and retirees living longer, it might make sense to look at the guaranteed lifetime income stream on some fixed indexed annuities, where benefit riders can often offer a 5% or more withdrawal factor guaranteed for your lifetime. Call us so we can explain your options, and talk about ways where you too can know what your annual payments will be for the rest of your life.

I found this week’s article provided interesting information regarding a recent report from the Insured Retirement Institute where the statistics showed that many baby boomers don’t feel financially ready to retire. The article went on to say that ‘an indexed annuity is one safe money option for many Boomers to consider” citing reasons such as not outliving the income stream, being protected from the downside risk of volatile markets, and the interest you can earn. Call us so that we can discuss these reasons, and others, in greater detail to help you decide if this is the right option for you.
